HE Speaker of Jordan's House of Representatives Eng. Atef Tarawneh met with HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al-Thani.

During the meeting, HE the Speaker of Jordan's House of Representatives affirmed his country's keenness on reaching the best levels in bilateral relations to serve the interests of the two countries.

His Excellency stressed the importance of the joint parliamentary coordination between the two countries, especially in the Palestinian issue and defending its cause in various international parliamentary forums.

For his part, HE the Ambassador affirmed that the State of Qatar seeks to strengthen the existing relations with Jordan in various fields, pointing out that they are solid relations based on firm foundations and mutual respect.

HE the Ambassador said that the State of Qatar is working closely with Jordan to strengthen the relations between the two countries and activate the joint coordination to face the challenges in the region, adding that both countries seeks to jointly support projects and programs that contribute to the overall economic development of the two countries.

In a related context, HE President of the Jordanian Senate Faisal Al Fayez met with HE Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al-Thani.

During the meeting, HE the President of the Jordanian Senate affirmed the strong relations between the two countries and Jordan's keenness on maintaining and developing these relations in various bilateral fields, especially political, economic, investment and parliamentary, and enhancing coordination and consultation in the service of common interests.

His Excellency said that the current circumstances that the Arab nation require strengthening the cooperation and unity in order to face the challenges, stressing that his country is keen on the unity of the Arab rank, the promotion of Arab reconciliation and the activation of joint coordination to serve the joint interests.
