The State of Qatar participated Thursday in the Ministerial Meeting 104th session of the Arab League's Economic and Social Council, which was held at the headquarters of the Arab League's General Secretariat.

Qatar's delegation was chaired by HE Qatar's Permanent Representative to the Arab League Ambassador Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al Sahlawi.

In addition to discussing the activities of the meeting and following up on the resolutions of the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit that was held in Beirut last January, the meeting also discusses an article on the social and economic empowerment of Arab women in rural areas. The discussion was proposed by Tunisia. They will also discuss the establishment of an Arab center for economic empowerment, based on a proposal by Palestine.

The meeting also focuses on a number of matters related to supporting the Palestinian economy and the joint annual meeting with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, among other issues.
