Doha/Information Office/ 09 April 2017/ The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation of the explosion that targeted a Church in the Egyptian City of Tanta on Sunday, killing and wounding a number of people.  

The Foreign Ministry in a statement reiterated Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of the motives and reasons. 
The statement extended condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of victims and the Egyptian people, wishing the injured speedy recovery.
