Minister of State for International Cooperation Meets Head of Turkish Delegation to NATO Parliamentary Assembly

HE Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met here today with HE Head of the Turkish delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Mevlut Cavusoglu, on the margin of the 3rd Antalya Diplomatic Forum.
The meeting addressed the latest developments in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, especially the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Strip, and the necessity of resuming support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), in addition to a host of topics of mutual interest.
During the meeting, HE the Minister of State for International Cooperation stressed that bringing humanitarian aid into Gaza and achieving a comprehensive and just peace represent a top priority for the State of Qatar, adding that the indicators of the beginning of a real famine in the northern Gaza Strip require urgent and effective action to avoid its dangerous repercussions.
Her Excellency explained that the State of Qatar is continuing its mediation efforts with its partners to achieve calm in Gaza. She expressed hope to reach an agreement to stop the fighting before the holy month of Ramadan.
For his part, His Excellency the head of the delegation of the Republic of Turkey to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly expressed his country's thanks to the State of Qatar for its close cooperation in several maters, especially mediation and peacemaking.
