HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi met here on Friday with HE UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories. They also discussed the UN mechanism to accelerate the arrival of humanitarian relief shipments to the Palestinian people inside the Strip.
HE the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the necessity of opening humanitarian corridors in a sustainable manner to ensure the continued entry of aid to the Palestinian brethren in Gaza, especially in the northern Gaza Strip, and to strengthen regional and international efforts aimed at an immediate ceasefire.
In turn, the UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator thanked the State of Qatar for its constant support for the United Nations and its humanitarian and relief agencies, as well as its efforts in the mediation process in Gaza.
