HE the Prime Minister of the sisterly Federal Republic of Somalia Hamza Abdi Barre, affirmed that the State of Qatar is an important partner of Somalia, thanking the State of Qatar for its support to his country.

This came today during his inspection of the final stages of the Government Presidency Building project, in which reconstruction work is underway with funding by the Qatar Fund for Development.

Barre was briefed on the progress of the project, which includes a number of facilities, the most important of which are the prime minister's office, the government headquarters, the prime minister's residence, a guest house and a mosque.

During his inspection of the final stages of the Government Presidency building project, HE the Somali Prime Minister was accompanied by HE former Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Robley, HE Deputy Prime Minister in the caretaker government of Somalia Mahdi Mohamed Gulaid, HE Qatars Ambassador to Somalia Hassan bin Hamza Hashem, as well as a number of ministers and officials.
