The State of Qatar has welcomed the agreement of parties of war in Yemen on the cease-fire in the city of Hodeidah as an important step towards ending this absurd war, which the brotherly Yemeni people suffering , and praised the active role played by the UN envoy, Martin Griffith, in bringing together the views and making this round of negotiations a success.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed hope that the parties of the Yemeni crisis would reach understandings on the outstanding issues in the next round of consultations to facilitate humanitarian access to all regions in Yemen and prepare a comprehensive solution to this catastrophic crisis.

The statement said that this step would contribute to stopping the deterioration of Yemen's national economy.

The Ministry's statement reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance on Yemen's unity, independence and territorial integrity and affirmed its full support for all efforts aimed at restoring its security and stability.
