The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the explosions that rocked the centre of the Somali capital, Mogadishu, causing deaths and injuries.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives or reasons.

The statement expressed condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims and the wounded, and to the Government and the people of Somalia, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
