The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the attack by an improvised explosive device near the Bagram Air base in Afghanistan, killing three US soldiers and a contractor and wounding three other US soldiers.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the victims' families, the government and the people of the United States, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
