The State of Qatar has voiced its strong condemnation and denunciation of the explosion which targeted a bridge in the state of Borno in northeast Nigerian, leaving scores killed and injured.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism, whatever the motives and reasons.

The statement expressed condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims, and to the government and people of Nigeria, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
