The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the attack on a French workers' camp in eastern Niger, killing seven employees and a local official.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons.

The statement expressed condolences of the State of Qatar to the victims' families, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
