The State of Qatar expresses its strong condemnation of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon, and calls on all parties to stop the escalation, calm down and exercise maximum restraint.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs holds Israel solely responsible for the widening circle of violence due to its provocative measures in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which the State of Qatar has warned against. 

It also stresses the need for the international community to act urgently to compel Israel to stop its flagrant violations of international law and to force it to respect the resolutions of international legitimacy.

The State of Qatar reiterates its firm position regarding the justice of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, and the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
