The State of Qatar strongly condemned Thursday the explosion that took place inside a market in Al-Qaim town of Western Iraq's Anbar province and left two people killed and eight others injured.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed, in a statement released today, the State of Qatar's rejection of violence and terrorism regardless of its motives and reasons.

The Ministry confirmed the State of Qatar's solidarity with the Iraqi government and its support for any measures to be taken to preserve security.

The statement also expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims, the government, and people of Iraq, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
