The State of Qatar voiced its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack which targeted a security point north of the Iraq capital Baghdad, killing two security personnel and injuring others.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the firm position of the State of Qatar on rejecting violence and terrorism, whatever motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the State of Qatar's condolences to the families of the victims, and to the government and people of Iraq, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
