The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the explosion that targeted a police academy in the Colombian capital, Bogota, leaving several killed and scores injured.

In a statement on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position on rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims, and the government and people of Colombia, whishing the injured a speedy recovery.
