The State of Qatar expressed strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack on security forces in northern Iraq, which resulted in deaths and injuries.

In a statement Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of the motives and causes.

The statement expressed the State of Qatar's condolences to the families of victims as well as to the government and people of Iraq, wishing the wounded speedy recovery.
