The State of Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the armed attack on a market in northern Burkina Faso, which killed scores of civilians.

In a statement Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position rejecting violence and terrorism, whatever the motives and reasons.

The statement expressed condolences of the State of Qatar to the victims' families, and to the government and people of Burkina Faso.
