The State of Qatar expressed Wednesday its strong condemnation and denunciation of an attack that targeted a security checkpoint in Egypt's North Sinai, leading to a number of deaths among security personnel.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed, in a statement released today, the State of Qatar's firm position of rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of the motives and the reasons.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims and the Egyptian people.
