The State of Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack that targeted the Chadian army on Boma island in Lake Chad region, and resulted in death and injury of dozens of soldiers.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and reasons.

The statement expressed condolences of the State of Qatar to the victims' families, the government and the people of Chad, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.
