The State of Qatar has welcomed the call of HM King Mohammed VI of Morocco for a frank and direct dialogue with the Algerian People's Democratic Republic to overcome the situational and substantive differences between the two parties, and commended the move, hoping to be the beginning of a constructive and fruitful dialogue.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the State of Qatar believes that opening channels of dialogue and diplomacy between the two brotherly countries would clear the cloud of disagreement.

The Ministry's statement stressed that the State of Qatar is very confident of the wisdom of both leaderships, their desire to settle long-standing differences and their keenness to uphold the interest of their peoples for good and prosperity.
