Qatar strongly Condemns the Israeli Occupation's Ratification of a Law that Allows the Return to Settlements in the West Bank

Doha, Media & Communication Dept., 26 March

The State of Qatar condemns in the strongest terms the Israeli occupation authorities’ ratification of a law that allows the return to four settlements in the West Bank. It considers this step a flagrant violation of the Charter of the United Nations, the principles of international law, and the relevant United Nations resolutions, as well as a flagrant attack on the rights of the brotherly Palestinian people.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the State of Qatar's deep concern over the de facto policy adopted by the Israeli occupation forces for years, which aims to deny Palestinian rights guaranteed by international law and undermine international efforts aimed at implementing the two-state solution. In addition, it urges the international community to shoulder its responsibilities to compel Israel to stop its settlement policy in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Ministry reaffirms the firm position of the State of Qatar regarding the justice of the Palestinian cause, the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, and the establishment of an independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
