Qatar strongly condemns the decision of the Israeli occupation to allow the return of settlers to "Homesh" in the West Bank

Doha - Media & Communication Dept. - May 22

The State of Qatar strongly condemns the decision of the Israeli Minister of Defence to begin implementing the repeal of the law of disengagement from settlements in the northern occupied West Bank. This means allowing settlers to return to the evacuated "Homesh" outpost settlement and thus legitimising it, which constitutes a flagrant violation of the rights of the brotherly Palestinian people.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the State of Qatar's deep concern about the de facto policy pursued by the Israeli occupation forces for years, which aims to strip Palestinian rights guaranteed by international law, and undermines international efforts to implement the two-state solution.

The Ministry also calls for the international community to assume its responsibilities and compel Israel to stop its settlement policy in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Ministry reiterates the firm position of the State of Qatar regarding the justice of the Palestinian cause, the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, and the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
