The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation of the bombing which targeted the warehouses of the Independent High Electoral Commission in the province of Kirkuk in northern Iraq, killing one person and wounding others.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement Monday that the State of Qatar rejects attempts to harm the Iraqi electoral process, and affirmed its full solidarity with the Iraqi government in all measures taken to maintain security and stability.

The statement reiterated Qatar's firm stance on rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of its motives and reasons.

The statement expressed Qatar's condolences to the victims' families, the government and the people of Iraq, and wishes of speedy recovery for the wounded.
