The State of Qatar expressed Sunday its strong condemnation and denunciation of the running over by a car and the stabbing that took place in Sousse city, central eastern Tunisia, killing a police officer and injuring another.

In a statement on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's firm position on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims, the government and people of Tunisia, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
