The State of Qatar has voiced its strong condemnation and denunciation of the stabbing incident which took place in the City of Jerash in northwest Jordan, and led to the injury of three Mexican tourists, a female Swiss tourist, a police officer and tour guides.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the firm position of the State of Qatar on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons.

The statement affirmed Qatar's full solidarity with the Government of Jordan and its support for any measure it takes to maintain security.

The statement expressed Qatar's wishes of a speedy recovery to the injured.
