The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the killing of hostages in Borno State, northeastern Nigeria.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position rejecting violence and terrorism, whatever the motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the victims' families.
