Qatar Strongly Condemns Israeli Occupation's Continued Targeting of Displaced Persons' Tents in Rafah
Doha, May 29
The State of Qatar expresses its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli occupation forces' ongoing targeting of displaced persons' tents in Rafah, the Gaza Strip, considering these actions a blatant challenge to international laws and norms and a subversion of the negotiation process.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on the international community to fulfill its legal and ethical responsibilities by compelling Israel to implement international legitimacy decisions, particularly the International Court of Justice's decision calling for an end to military attacks on Rafah to prevent the perpetration of genocide in the city, ensure full protection for civilians, and stop the occupation forces from executing plans aimed at forcibly displacing residents from the city, which has become a last refuge for hundreds of thousands of displaced persons within Gaza.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates the State of Qatar's steadfast position on the just Palestinian cause, the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
