The State of Qatar voiced its strong condemnation and denunciation of a car bomb in the district of Sadr in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, which left a number of people killed and wounded.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance in rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of the motives and causes.

The statement expressed the State of Qatar's condolences to the families of victims as well as the government and people of Iraq, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
