The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the attack on a military base in north-eastern Nigeria, killing several soldiers.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons.

The ministry expressed Qatar's condolences to the victims' families, the government and people of Nigeria.
