The State of Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack that targeted the Green Zone in Iraqi capital Baghdad, and considered it a criminal act that violates all international norms and laws.

In a statement on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on all parties in Iraq to exercise restraint in order to overcome the crucial period that the country is going through.

The statement expressed the State of Qatar's full support for Iraq and the Iraqi people, to reach stability and prosperity.
