The State of Qatar has strongly condemned bombing which targeted a funeral, north of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, causing deaths and injuries.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons.

The statement expressed Qatar's condolences to the victims' families, the government and the people of Iraq, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
