The State of Qatar has strongly condemned an attack on a religious convoy in northern Burkina Faso, causing deaths and injuries.

In a statement Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons.

The statement expressed Qatar's condolences to the victims' families, the government and people of Burkina Faso, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
