The State of Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack which targeted a church in northeast Burkina Faso, which resulted in deaths and injuries and the kidnapping of a number of people.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatars firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism, whatever the motives and causes.

The statement stressed the State of Qatar's complete refusal of targeting places of worship and intimidate safe people.

The statement expressed the State of Qatar's condolences to the victims' families, and to the government and people of Burkina Faso, and its wishes of a speedy recovery for the wounded and safety for the kidnapped.
