The State of Qatar voiced strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack which targeted a military post in Soum province in northern Burkina Faso, killing scores of civilians, most of them women, and injuring others from the security forces.

In a statement of Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the firm position of the State of Qatar on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Burkina Faso, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
