The State of Qatar condemned the killing of two French soldiers during the rescue of foreign hostages in northern Burkina Faso.

In a statement on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's firm stance on rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of their motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the victims' families and the government and people of France.
