Qatar condemns in the strongest terms the brutal Israeli aggression against Jenin camp

Doha / Media & Communication Dept./ January 26

The State of Qatar condemns in the strongest terms the brutal Israeli aggression against the Jenin camp, which led to the fall of martyrs and wounded. It also considers it an extension of the heinous and horrific crimes of the occupation against the defenseless Palestinian people. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms that the Israeli occupation has become more reassured than ever before about the lack of accountability and impunity.

This encouraged it to commit more crimes and violations against the brotherly Palestinian people, killing civilians, including children, women and the elderly, and desecrating hospitals and vital civilian facilities. In this context, the Ministry holds the occupation authorities solely responsible for the widening cycle of violence that will result from this systematic escalation against the Palestinian people.

The Ministry stresses that adherence to international laws and humanitarian issues cannot be fragmented or applied in one place in the world, and forgotten or bypassed in another place. It also considers this an unacceptable duplication, because the sanctity of people’s blood and their rights are equal no matter how different the places are.

The Ministry also stresses that it is no longer possible to understand the continuation of the occupation because of the selective policies in applying the decisions of international legitimacy, the preference for the policies of force and the imposition of a fait accompli over the principles of justice and fairness.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs renews the State of Qatar’s firm position about the justice of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, and the establishment of its independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
