The State of Qatar voiced its strong condemnation and denunciation of the explosion which targeted a police checkpoint in Peshawar in northwest Pakistan, injuring nine people.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the firm position of the State of Qatar on rejecting violence and terrorism, whatever motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the State of Qatar's wishes of a speedy recovery to the injured.
