The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the car bomb on a main road in the Somali capital Mogadishu, which led to deaths and injuries.

In a statement on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position on rejecting violence, terrorism and criminal acts, whatever the motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims, the Government and the people of Somalia, wishing the injured a speed recovery.
