The State of Qatar strongly condemned the bomb explosion during a celebration in the southern Philippines, which left one dead and scores injured.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's firm position on rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims and the government and people of the Philippines, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
