The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the bombing of an explosive device on a teachers' residence in a school in Kenya's Mandera province near the Somali border, killing two teachers.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position on rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to families of the victims and the government and people of Kenya.
