Qatar Condemns Bombing of Hospital for Coronavirus Patients in Tripoli

The State of Qatar condemned on Tuesday Haftar forces' bombing of a hospital that treats Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients in Tripoli, Libya.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement today that the bombing of the hospital represents a severe violation of international humanitarian law. The ministry stressed on the importance of guaranteeing the safety of patients and medical teams, especially during a time when the entire world is fighting off the Coronavirus pandemic.

The statement stressed that bombing the hospital requires an urgent international investigation that would present the perpetrators to justice, calling on the international community to move swiftly to protect civilian targets.
