The State of Qatar voiced its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack that targeted a military convoy in southern Somalia, killing one soldier and injuring others.

In a statement on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the firm position of the State of Qatar on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the family of the victim, and to the government and people of Somalia, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
