The State of Qatar has strongly condemned attack that targeted a military base, northern Mali, killing a number of soldiers.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism, whatever the motives and reasons.

The statement expressed condolences of the State of Qatar to the victims' families and the government and people of Mali.
