The State of Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack on a military post near Baquba, in north-eastern Iraq, which led to the death of one soldier and wounding others.

In a statement on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance on rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and causes.

The statement expressed the State of Qatar's condolences to the families of victims and the government and people of Iraq, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.
