The State of Qatar voiced strong condemnation of the armed attack which took place in Jalalabad city in eastern Afghanistan and killed a Japanese doctor and five Afghan civilians.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position on rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims and to the governments and people of Japan and Afghanistan.
