The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the armed attack which targeted a convoy of vehicles in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in northeast India, killing many people including a local MP and injuring many others.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's firm position on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims, the government and people of India, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
