The State of Qatar expresses its deep concern over the developments in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and called on all parties in Iraq to avoid escalation and exercise the utmost restraint.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stresses the need to resolve differences through political dialogue and peaceful means to achieve the aspirations of the brotherly Iraqi people for stability and prosperity.

The Ministry reiterates Qatar's firm position in support of Iraq's unity, security, and sovereignty.
