Qatar's Embassies, Consulates Continue National Day Celebrations

The diplomatic, consular and representative missions of the State of Qatar abroad continued their celebrations on the occasion of the National Day, which falls on Dec. 18, in commemoration of the founder of the state, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, (may God rest his soul) under the slogan: "ANCESTRAL MEADOWS: A MATTER OF TRUST".
Their Excellencies, heads of diplomatic, consular and representative missions of the State of Qatar abroad, extended their warmest congratulations and blessings to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and all the Qatari people on this dear occasion, wishing the State of Qatar further progress and prosperity.
In New Delhi, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of India Mohammed bin Khater Al-Khater, hosted a party on the occasion of the National Day.
The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of India, V. Muraleedharan, as a guest of honor representing the Indian government, a number of officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a number of political and intellectual figures, senior businessmen of the Republic of India, and a number of heads and members of diplomatic missions accredited to New Delhi.
In Mogadishu, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the sisterly Federal Republic of Somalia held a ceremony on the occasion of the National Day.
The ceremony was attended by a number of senior Somali government officials, led by HE Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Robley, as well as ministers, representatives, civil society leaders and high-level social figures from all states of the country, and a number of ambassadors and representatives of international and regional organizations accredited to Mogadishu.
The guests expressed their admiration for the great achievements and progress made by the State of Qatar in various fields.
For his part, HE the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Somalia Hassan bin Hamza Hashem, in a speech on this occasion, drew attention to the successes of the State of Qatar and its progress in achieving its ambitious goals and strategies.
His Excellency expressed his pride in the state's achievements at all levels, making it a global destination in the fields of diplomacy and mediation, achieving peace, spreading a culture of tolerance and hosting major sporting events.
His Excellency also referred to the efforts made to organize and host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and the resounding success that accompanied the organization of the Arab Cup.
His Excellency stressed the strength and development of bilateral relations between Qatar and Somalia.
In Asmara, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to Eritrea celebrated the National Day.
The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Foreign Affairs Osman Saleh, HE Minister of Information Yemane Ghebremeskel, Minister of Agriculture of Eritrea, HE Minister of Justice Fozia Hashim, HE Minister of Tourism Askalu Menkerios, and a number of senior state officials and heads of state, diplomatic missions, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Asmara, and many prominent personalities.
The Charge d'Affairs at the Embassy of the State of Qatar to Eritrea Khalifa bin Thani Al Zarraa, drew attention to the role of Qatari diplomacy in building solid bridges with influential powers in the world, stressing the role of the State of Qatar has emerged as a strong and fair mediator in resolving disputes by peaceful means, which has enhanced its status and influence regionally and internationally.
He said that the State of Qatar completed the infrastructure projects of giant sports facilities, highways, means of transportation and connecting bridges, ahead of the date set for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and with great success that exceeded all expectations.
He stressed that the State of Qatar has achieved, in the industrial and agricultural field, a great leap in products in order to achieve self-sufficiency and access to global markets, especially after operating the Hamad Sea Port, and raising the volume of Qatari exports to various countries of the world.
He pointed out that the Qatari economy was able to build many different strategic partnerships, in addition to the attractive investment legislation enacted by the State of Qatar, which facilitated transactions and attracted major companies.
