Qatar Participates in Arab League Consultative Meeting on Libya

Cairo/Information Office/10 January 2017/ The consultative meeting of the Arab League Council at the level of permanent delegates kicked off Tuesday at the Arab League General Secretariat in Cairo.
Tunisian Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League Najib Mnif chaired the meeting, in the presence of Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit and the Arab League Special Envoy to Libya Ambassador Salaheddine Jamali.
HE Qatar's Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League Saif bin Muqaddam Al Buainain headed the Qatari delegation to the meeting.
During the meeting, the Special Envoy will brief the Council about the efforts exerted to provide political and moral support to the national reconciliation government in Libya, and to overcome obstacles to the implementation the Skhirat agreement.
The Special Envoy will also present his working plan and the results of his contacts and efforts with all parties concerned with the Libyan crisis in this regard.
Discussions during the meeting will also address the problems facing the national reconciliation government, and ways to engage all Libyan parties in the political process.
