Qatar Welcomes Security Council's Statement Condemning Attacks by Houthi Group against Saudi Arabia

The State of Qatar welcomes the statement issued by the members of the Security Council on August 7, which condemned the missile attacks launched by the Houthi group against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since July 13, as well as attacks against commercial vessels since July 22.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses Qatar’s full appreciation for the statement's emphasis on adherence to international law and relevant Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216, and its rejection of actions that threaten regional security and the rights and freedoms of maritime navigation.
The Ministry reaffirms Qatar's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty and security. It further stresses that Saudi Arabia's security is an integral part of Qatar's security and the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
